Hello, thank you all so much for participating in Round 7 of We Could Be and congratulations to our Survivor Pool!

Endgame is going to take place next weekend, Friday November 14th and Saturday November 15th, with Sunday the 16th as a possible overflow day. We're asking for all hands on deck for this, at least among the living; but there will, as usual, also be things for our dead to do!

So, we're asking for all living characters to check in confirming your availability, and for any dead characters to check in letting us know whether or not you'll be able to join us for endgame.

Deadline for check-in is, as usual, 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday.

Silverpoint Manor

The manor is old, and dark colors abound. Hardwood floors covered in deep plush rugs, high walls decorated with tapestries, the entire place gives an air of faded opulence. Rooms and halls are lit by wall-sconces containing pale yellow and light blue crystals that perpetually glow with a wavering, flickering light; the lights dim to less than candle brightness at 9PM each night, but sconces in smaller rooms come with sliding covers that can be partially or fully closed during active hours. Exterior windows are made of apparently unbreakable frosted glass, showing nothing except rolling, pressing fog.

IC Rules

Travelers will live in a communal lifestyle in the tower until further notice. Your needs will be provided for here.

Your dorms and the rest areas are for sleeping, intentionally falling asleep in non-designated areas is grounds for punishment.
Travelers are required to participate in weekly challenges.
Deliberately damaging or making unauthorized alterations to the manor’s structures is strictly forbidden, as is destruction of or damage to communal property.
Attacking the Apostle is highly discouraged.
A traveler who wishes to leave early may do so by sacrificing a fellow traveler and escaping detection.
1. In the event of a traveler’s death, there will be a period of investigation to attempt to uncover evidence regarding the sacrifice.
2. A traveler who attempts a sacrifice and is discovered by their peers will themselves be sacrificed.
3. A traveler may sacrifice no more than two other travelers.
4. If the guilty party or parties is not successfully identified, all innocent travelers will be sacrificed in their place.
Do not attempt to open portals off the manor grounds and do not summon any outside entities, be they demonic in nature or otherwise.
The Apostle may add rules as she deems necessary. You will be notified of this as it occurs.

1. Be Respectful - remember, there’s another person on the other end of that thread. While we’re not going to ban the discussion of difficult or painful topics, we ask that you treat them and the other players with respect. Failure to do so will result in removal from the game. This includes tagging your threads with appropriate content warnings as necessary. Conversely, please bear in mind that we’re all adults here, and unsavory or squicky topics are likely to come up, even in larger public threads like trials; we just ask that such things are treated with respect.

2. IC=/=OOC - You are not your character. Just because your characters are at each other’s throats doesn’t mean you the players need to be; likewise, if your characters are literally falling into bed together, doesn’t mean you’re in a relationship OOC. Respect people’s boundaries. And remember that just because you know that Victor vonBabyChew is an evil mastermind, your character won’t necessarily suspect anything’s amiss if Victor acts like a charming country doctor.

3. Character Cap - we’re running with 24 characters at most; one character per player, three characters per canon. Mod PCs do not count towards any of these caps.

4. Be Active - AC here is a little lighter than other murdergames, but try to keep up! Make sure you’re able to devote the time necessary to a high-intensity game before applying.

5. Loose Lips - Got a role in the upcoming trial or the game at large? Please keep it under wraps, these things are more fun when they’re a surprise!

6. Don’t Be An Asshole - This is our umbrella rule; we’re all here to have fun, don’t be the one to deliberately ruin it for others.

Camp MacDonald Code of Conduct - IC Rules

Upon arrival, your character will have been provided with a handy Electronic ID. This sleek, metallic device looks and operates much like a smartphone; upon booting up it will display your character's profile and will have access to all other IC profiles as well as a basic map of the camp facilities and the following list of rules.

Test subjects will live on camp grounds in provided facilities until further notice. Your needs will be provided for here.
Bunks are for sleeping, other areas are for not sleeping. Nodding off for an extended period of time outside of your rooms is grounds for a punishment.
Test subjects will be required to engage in regular experimental tests and team-building exercises.
Damaging, disassembling, "fixing", or "improving" camp property is forbidden! Those caught doing so will be punished appropriately.
Unauthorized portals into the local or any multiverse are strictly forbidden.
Summoning, speaking with or contacting dead, demonic, or otherwise extraplanar beings is highly discouraged without supervision by camp staff.
Use of force, digital, electronic, or otherwise, against D.O.C. is strictly forbidden.
Any test subject who wishes to leave must successfully terminate another subject and escape detection by other subjects, after a short period of investigation and discussion.
Subjects who attempt to escape via Rule 8 and fail to escape detection will be punished.
In the event that a subject successfully enacts Rule 8 and evades detection, any remaining test subjects who have not also been successful in such an attempt will be punished in their stead.
These rules may be amended at any time, we will make best efforts to give appropriate notice of such changes.
Team rosters and membership may not be changed under any circumstances.

Your electronic ID also functions as key allowing campers to open any team-exclusive areas in Camp MacDonald. Just wave your ID near the small pads on these doors and they'll open or dispense the item you need.

IC Rules - Round 5

Upon arrival, your character will receive- you know how this works by now, right? You've got a cutting edge personal ID! It'll give you access to your rooms, any team-specific areas, and it's got a map and a handy camera and note function- like if you needed to document evidence for some reason, right? Eh?

It's not a cellphone or a tablet, don't use branded terms for them, we'll have to edit that shit out.

Anyway the start screen'll open up to your profile, and from there you can scroll through everyone else's.

Oh! It's also got a list of rules for contestants, you're gonna wanna look over those, those are important.

Team A IDs are black with turquoise lines, Team B IDs are black with orange. Kind of like the world's worst toothpaste.

Your huts are for sleeping, falling asleep anywhere else is gonna get you punished. Don't worry, it'll probably be funny unless you're doing it deliberately.
We got team-building exercises here! Those are mandatory, but they come with prizes.

A contestant who wants to win early and leave must kill another contestant and get away with it, you all know how this part works. It can be any other contestant, teammate or not, keep things interesting.
No, really, keep things interesting, you gotta make a decent effort at getting away with it, we need ratings here.
I've been advised to tell contestants to not keep things TOO interesting, in the sense of not trying to end this early by just offing everyone else. If you're trying to win early, a single contestant cannot kill more than- two? Three? Let's ballpark it at two, three if you can make it really interesting somehow- two other contestants.

Vacation on the Sunny Island of [WORKING NAME HERE]
Contestants on Murdergame All-Stars--really, we haven't heard back from legal yet? Oh well--will be spending an indefinite amount of time with us, their only means of going home being a devious betrayal and murder! But really, who would want to leave our solitary paradise, set up and filmed on location in beautiful--uh, Anominous Island! ...We can dub over that in post, right?

The unnamed island you all find yourself on is indeed a sweltering, wooded island in the middle of summer, surrounded by clear skies and glittering blue seas stretching to the horizons. The weather is sunny and hot and muggy, but hey. At least...um, actually, there are no positives to this. You better get used to it, fast.
